Add to this the time required for inserting and removing the egg, and you can comfortably test up to 900 eggs per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Haugh-Units<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>To determine the Haugh units, the egg is cracked on a flat glass plate after weighing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The egg white height gauge is then used to determine the egg white height at a distance of approx. 1 cm from the edge of the yolk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The formula for calculating the Haugh unit is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/broeringtech.com\/wp-tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/haugh_unit_formel.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-174\" width=\"367\" height=\"34\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereby:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>HU = Haugh-unit<\/li><li>h = certain height of the albumens in millimeters<\/li><li><em><em>w<\/em><\/em>&nbsp;= Mass of the ice in grams<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The calculation is done automatically in our software.<br>Alternatively, you can read out the data from a table.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Yolk color<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The color of the egg yolk is traditionally expressed in &#8222;Roche values&#8220; from 1 to 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name &#8222;Roche&#8220; refers to the company Roche, which released the color fan shown below a few years ago. Roche was acquired by DSM Nutrition Products GmbH a few years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Our measuring instruments work with an R-G-B sensor whose filter curves correspond to the human eye (3-range method). From the red, green and blue components we calculate the L<em>a<\/em>b* values from which we then determine the Roche value. This makes it possible to correctly determine the thickness of the concave (curved) eggshell.
